Wild Swimming Picture of the Week: Ocean Side Pool February 1955 National Geographic
A safe pool to swim in, a great lookout point, a slide, swings and a diving board. The golden age of swimming may now be consigned to the annuls of history but that doesn’t mean we have to like it.
For me swimming and diving, jumping and snorkeling hold a never-fading delight. With my body immersed in a natural underwater world and my head absorbing the sights sounds and smells in clean fresh air is paradise. At one with nature and at one with myself as the rhythmic sensation of swimming paces away the worries and cares of the day.
