Hmmm not so sure this is the same as jumping in lakes , rivers in developed countries , in Lahore all sorts of rubbish is thrown in the canal – you only need to look around the streets of lahore – full of plastic shoppers, litter!! Temperatures are soaring in Lahore so people are wanting to cool down – especially with the amount of load shedding going on. People have to be health conscious re skin problems , illnesses of jumping into these type of waters.

This post illustrates the fact that the ban on swimming in the city has nothing to do with attitudes towards swimming entertained by city dwellers coming from an Asian background.
